NCA will host a public program titled “Communication, Culture, and Health” on September 14, 2017, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. New Mexico is home to myriad cultures, including several American Indian tribes as well as a substantial Hispanic population. The state has a disproportionate number of teen pregnancies and chronic conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and infectious diseases. New Mexico’s residents also suffer from a widespread shortage of health professionals.
