Jocelyn Gomez is originally from Bakersfield, California. She received her B.A. in Journalism and Spanish, with a minor in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) and her M.A. in Chicano and Chicana Studies from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Jocelyn’s research interests include media portrayals of the Latina/o community, the common narratives of the immigrant communities and the forms in which communities, communicate, organize and mobilize.
