Sayyed Fawad Ali Shah is from Pakistan. Before joining this program, Shah was working as a lecturer at the department of Communication and Media Studies at Hazara University. He earned an MA in Journalism and Mass Communication from University of Peshawar. Shah also worked for different national and international media outlets like Radio Free Europe, daily Dawn, and the Express Tribune. His primary area of research is the role of radio stations in conflict resolution, social change and development. Shah specifically wants to investigate the phenomena of the 'illegal radio stations' in the North West of Pakistan and their impacts on the society. His research will help in enlisting ways as to how to counter these radio channels and how to enable radio stations established by the community for a social change.
