Evan Ashworth

Part-Time Instructor



Evan received his PhD in Linguistics from UNM in December 2013. He has taught several communication classes including communication research methods, interpersonal communication, and language, thought, and behavior. His research primarily focuses on language ideologies and the development of writing systems in indigenous communities. Previously, he  directed the Writing and Language Center at the Center for Academic Program Support at UNM (2012-14) and served as postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Linguistics at the University of British Columbia (2014-15).
