Cassidy D. Ellis (MA, University of Alabama) is a doctoral student at The University of New Mexico where she studies critical intercultural communication and auto-methodologies. Her work is interested in reproductive justice and anti-abortion extremism, as well as constructions and performances of Southern identity. As an activist-scholar, Cassidy is invested in narrative-driven, praxis-based scholarship that centers on-the-ground grassroots organizers and counters white supremacy and colonization.
