Our Doctoral Student Cassidy D. Ellis has received the Feminist Research Institute (FRI) Graduate Student Paper Prize for her essay titled, ““Doctors Don’t Kill Babies! Monsters Do!”: A Performative Autoethnography Interrogating Anti-Abortion Violence and the Monsterization of Abortion.”  

The prize is a highly competitive award that recognizes outstanding academic work in the advancement of feminist studies. And, this award is more than recognition for her research, however; it is also the opportunity to share her work with others as part of a broad, University-wide venue. Hence, Cassidy will give a presentation on her paper as part of the FRI Lecture series during the 2021-2022 academic year
