The University of New Mexico Department of Communication & Journalism, working in collaboration with the New Mexico State University Department of Journalism and Media Studies, announces the creation of four 9-month paid-fellowship positions to run concurrently from June 2020 to March 2021. The fellowship program seeks to place four graduates in four host newsrooms in New Mexico.

Each newsroom will be provided $26,000 to employ the fellows. The program is underwritten by a grant from the New Mexico Local News Fund.
