Mina Sayadi
Ph.D. Student
Mina Sayadi is a Ph.D. student specializing in health communication at the intersection of technology and public health. She holds a B.A. in Theater and an M.A. in Communication and Media Studies, and her perspective is shaped by years as an actress and playwright as well as hands-on work at a digital-health startup translating tools into better user outcomes. Mina recently served as a Strategic Communication research intern at Microsoft Research, contributing to projects on AI, information seeking, and technology-enabled behavior change. Her current interests include health and media literacy, social media’s influence on immigrants’ health behaviors and identity, and the ethics of AI in health communication. Beyond academia, Mina is a vocalist who shares song covers on Instagram (@minasayadi_) and performs with the UNM choir.
