Profile

Eliot Knight has a Ph.D. from UNM, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Oregon. Her research focuses on the design of visual meaning for cross-cultural distance learners. She teaches Web Design in the Communications & Journalism Department, and Digital Video Techniques and Presentation Technologies in the OILS Program in the College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences at UNM.

Before moving to New Mexico, she worked as an Assistant Editor of Poetry at the University of Oregon’s Northwest Review in Eugene, Oregon and as a production assistant for various small newspapers around the Eugene area. Her poetry has been published in various literary journals and anthologies such as Spectrum International, Plains Poetry Journal; and The Anthology of Eugene Writers #1, Northwest Review Books.
