Ji Yi is from China! She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Communication and a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication from the University of Technology Sydney. Her research interests focus on health communication, particularly in the areas of media psychology, emerging media influences, and the role of personality in shaping health-related communication. She has examined topics such as how misinformation can affect women’s awareness of intrauterine device (IUD) removal, the role of social media in stress relief, and the impact of algorithms on public opinion. In her forthcoming Ph.D. studies at the University of New Mexico, Yi plans to concentrate on quantitative research methods while continuing to advance her work in health communication, aiming to connect theoretical perspectives with practical applications to promote well-being in digital and health-related contexts.
