Equipment Checkout

Overview

Equipment is provided as a service to Communication and Journalism students enrolled in the current semester and pay course fees for certain equipment. This service allows students to use equipment for educational purposes in a classroom setting. The equipment is limited and causal use for entertainment is discouraged. 

Process

Students and Instructors must read, fill out, and sign this policy agreement document. They can upload the signed form here, email to it to video1@unm.edu or hand in a paper copy to the Equipment Checkout office in room 110.

Students can view the equipment catalog here and place a request for their equipment with this formPlease note: The prices shown in the catalog are to meant demonstrate the amount students will be potentially responsible for if the equipment is lost, stolen or damaged while in their possession.

After the equipment request has been confirmed, students can pickup their equipment at their scheduled appointment time. The student should return their equipment within a week from the day of the checkout. For example, if equipment was picked up at Pam on a Tuesday, the equipment will be due back the following Tuesday by the end of the day.
