C&J Students Win WSCA Top-Paper Awards

Congratulations to our C&J graduate students receiving top-paper awards from the Western States Communication Association in the upcoming convention in Arizona in February 2023:

Qinjun Fan received the Top Student Paper award from the Communication and Theory Interest Group for their paper, "Analyzing Cultural adaptation in HPV vaccine intervention among racial and ethical minority population: a systematic review"

Olivia Roe received the Top Student Paper award from the Performance Studies Interest Group for their paper, "You're just a really feminine gay man:" An autoethnographic reflection on performance, affect, and the disciplining of a transgender body."

Anh Alan Tuan Nguyen received the Top Debut Paper award from the Communication, Identity, and Difference Interest Group for their paper “Becoming Americans: The Vietnamese Refugee Nationalism in SBTN, the Multicultural Diasporic Media”
