Cynthia Killough is a native New Mexican, first generation college graduate and U.S. citizen. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from New Mexico State University. Her interests are in health communications as she currently works as a Community Health Specialist for the University of New Mexico Health Sciences’ Clinical and Translational Science Center and serves as a community liaison between health science researchers and rural populations around the state of New Mexico. She is passionate about disseminating data back to patients and communities and hopes to discover more ways to facilitate communications between researchers and the public through her studies in health communications.
In her free time Cynthia enjoys taking long walks, hiking, spending time with her family, playing violin, and visiting museums.
