Jayita Chakraborty (she/her) is a doctoral student and graduate part-time instructor in the Department of Communication & Journalism. Jayita is from Calcutta, India. She earned her MBA (Communication Management) from Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune, and her MA in Communication Studies from Texas Tech University. Her interests are Strategic Communication, Health, Emerging Technologies and Media, and she explores how health information is disseminated on these platforms through quantitative and computational methods. She loves having students as her stakeholders.

Outside of the classroom, Jayita enjoys exploring food places, dancing, and traveling.
