Soham Sen (he/his/him) is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication & Journalism. He identifies himself as a diasporic, critically intersectional, South Asian, native-speaking scholar of critical intercultural communication. His research interest explores the rhetoric and spaces of borders, digital media, and politics of caste, class, language in India and the Indian diaspora in the US. Soham's scholarship aligns with the practice of speaking with that allows him to practice an inclusive, self-reflexive, humanistic approach to studying communication. Soham's work has been included in the Top Student Paper Panel of the International and Intercultural Communication Division at the 109th National Communication Association's Annual Convention, 2023. He is also the recipient of the 2024 Glenda Lewis Critical Race Scholar Award.
